September 23, 2011 (Tampa, FL) – BrightLine CPAs & Associates, Inc. proudly announces the completion of more than 100 SSAE 16 examinations during the first 100 days following the adoption of the new standard. BrightLine has the distinction of being the first CPA firm to publicly announce this significant milestone.
BrightLine continues to solidify itself as a global leader for SSAE 16 (SOC 1) examinations. Aside from the “Big 4” accounting firms, BrightLine is the largest provider of SOC reporting services in the United States. BrightLine’s professionals have gained an astonishingly high experience level that average over 150 completed SOC 1 examinations (i.e., SAS 70 and SSAE 16). These professionals also average 10 years of professional services experience and maintain industry leading certifications.
“There is no substitute for experience when selecting an SSAE 16 provider.” stated Chris Schellman, President of BrightLine. “With BrightLine scheduled to complete nearly 250 SSAE 16 examinations during 2011, our personnel are easily among the most experienced SSAE 16 professionals in the world.”
Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16 (SSAE 16) superseded Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (“SAS 70”) on June 15th, 2011. Since that date, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants has introduced the Service Organization Control (SOC) reporting framework to help companies understand their reporting options. SSAE 16 examinations are referred to as “SOC 1” examinations within this framework. SOC 2 examinations report on controls related to compliance with one or more Trust Services Principles (i.e., security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy). SOC 3 examinations are SysTrust examinations performed specifically for service organizations.
BrightLine CPAs & Associates, Inc. is a global provider of assurance and compliance services and the only company in the world accredited to provide a suite of services that includes SOC examinations, PCI DSS compliance validations and ISO 27001 certifications.
